Default South Florida Transmission Rebuilder

Do you have any suggestions for a transmission shop in S. Florida that knows how to rebuild an early V8 3 speed transmission? I live near West Palm so east coast would be the best but I do get to the Ft. Myers area often.

This Google search shows several places that you might want to
contact as a starting point. Also, check with the AACA branch near you as there might be a member who can rebuild it or knows of someone. Open and scroll down.

Another option is to buy a used or rebuilt transmission that you know to be "good" from someone who is doing an upgrade. What year and model transmission do you require?
There are lots of "car folks" in WPB area.

Also, visit local car shows and ask around. Here's some info. Scroll down.

Thanks for the help. I have the original transmission just need to rebuild it. I've owned the car for over 50 years and blew first gear as a teenager. It is a 36 Fordor Deluxe.

If you aren’t able to find a qualified local rebuilder, consider sending the transmission up to us. We have a custom shipping crate available and can handle doing prepaid UPS shipping labels for it. Rebuilding 1932-62 Ford three speed transmissions is our specialty.

We’re currently on vacation but will be back on the 10th if you want to contact us. We also sell a full line of parts if you do find a closer rebuilder.

I just rented shop space to Tom Pierce. He has been rebuilding
flat head engines and transmissions over 45 years. His father
did the same for 50 years right here in Punta Gorda, Florida.
Tommy's phone number is 1-941-391-2096 G.M.
