1933/34 Cabriolet Top part
I am looking for the screw that fixes the No1 roof bow to the quarter hinge pillar upper arm.
Part # 40-764886.; Anyone have a spare, know of a repro, or can supply me with dimensions? Thanks in anticipation. |

I don't have the dimensions, but here is an image of it out of The Automotive Hardware and Trim book.

Re: 1933/34 Cabriolet Top part
There is a picture in the 38 hardware book p120. Looks like an easy one to make. If you have the threaded hole you have the thread and the hole it passed through you have the shoulder diameter and the approximate length. The hardware book is supposed to be actual size. IF SO, it looks like 1/2" hex head 1/8" thick. Shoulder diameter of 3/8" X 0.430" L. 1/4"-28 thread .25" L. there is an undercut where the threads meet the shoulder so the shoulder sits flush against the threaded area when the bolt is tightened down.

Hi Ted,
According to the parts book for 1933/34 the roadster part # is 40-714904 and is quite a bit different to the cabriolet part. I shall give you a call. Graham |

Re: 1933/34 Cabriolet Top part
Years ago my company manufactured for me for my '34 Cabriolet the bolts you need and the tab with the snap fastener for the top. I offered them to the community as a package of all four pieces and sold quite a few. I happen to have 1 set left, If you are interested please PM me.

That picture looks a lot like the hood hinge bolt for a 42-48 Ford/Merc. Dimensions are at least similar.
