You're gonna love that thing. We just recently sold our very similar, un-restored coupe, now being driven almost daily in northwestern Ohio.

Thanks. First thing is get it running. New glass and drive it. Looking for a windshield frame if anyone has one they would be willing to sell.

If that is the original paint or looks like it could be, I would leave it alone & just drive the &$#& out of it.
Remember, they are only original once! - F F

Those wind wings were an accessory for 36/37.

Yes, it has the original 85 engine. Looks to have one repaint. Can still see some original paint in spots.

An 85; fantastic. Plus . . . its orig one. Big plus!

Those 'one repaint' over the decades, an owner jussst couldn't resist the 'repaint repaint repaint'. thought.

Sooo typical; repaint . . .

. . . rather'n sweat and(rubbing compound, polishing compound, wax, and 'elbow grease'.) 'What's wrong w/your elbow?' "Oh, ahem, tennis elbow. I shouldn't complain."

My '33= 'one repaint' too. Should be termed 'one repeel'. (but one whole orig, not complain'g.)

I posted a reply to your original request for a windshield frame on the 8th, included four pix of a windshield assembly I have for a '37. Some how your thread and my contribution to the thread has disappeared from the Forum. Hmmm?

To add to swoopNZ' contribution on the wind-wings shown in the pix, they are common aftermarket accessory's that were offered by several company's in '35-36-37. the most common being Fulton and Arrow.. My '36 coupe had a pair on it when I bought the car in 1952, did not like them so I took them off of the car. The wings have been wrapped up in a an old towel sitting on a shelf in my garage for several years.

They are called Windshield Wings in the 1937 Ford parts catalog.

68-18231 LH.
A Ford approved accessory.

Nooch, congrats on your 37, looks like a nice solid car. I had a guy say to me after I bought my 37, "I see you got yourself an ugly duckling". I don't see anything ugly here!

It is a fact of life that anything that followed the very popular '36 would be very difficult at it's best.
The '37 Ford had many modern improvements that were carried through to '48, of course the cable operated brakes were not one of them.
I was able to use '37-38 rear radius bars on a '47-48 Columbia, that bolted right onto the '36 torque tube and center section under my '36..

Yes, the '37 & 38 models were called that for many years,
at least here on the Best Coast!
