Default Manual Choke Wire from Carburetor to Radiator

The choke wire sold by the vendors is brittle and if you have to “un-bend” the end on the carburetor the wire breaks easily. Am I installing wrong or is there a solution?

Brass wire may not be the best wire to use for a choke pull. I'm not sure if I know a reason to change the pull loop on that wire. Wire in general, can fatigue with any bending, To unbend tight loops just speeds up the process. I would use annealed aircraft grade stainless steel safety wire and form it myself.

If you can locate a factory photo of the bend on the carburetor end, it was a shaped like a straight "Z" so one would pull out on the wire to insert into the choke arm OR only slightly bend the choke arm end so it stays put - it is brittle and you only get one try !

Like any wire any Ford owner in 'The Day' would be glad of.
