Fortunately, things like door handles, dashes, tail lights are the same across all of the bodies. What you will need and you can get this from the hardware book offered by the vendors are the small things. Latches, dove tails, inside door handles etc. Those you can get from the book or just ask here.

A good source for information and a good education on your model A is available by reading the MAFCA/MARC Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards. You can download tests to help you in your learning process. These are available at both clubs websites. Good luck. Jay

By "authentic" do you mean replace missing parts such that someone reasonably familiar with the car could get in there with you and say "nice restoration?" Or do you intend to compete in fine point?

It's two different worlds entirely.

One can buy 30 Tudor handles at any of the major parts suppliers - but any judge in fine point will see the difference. It won't be much of a contest.

But its SOOO much fun learning and solving the issues however it's done. Sort of something to do and a challenge to be overcome.

Like that Twilight Zone episode..."The Lonely."

We're lucky our parts are not brought to us by rocket-ship.

If you want to know what is correct this book is the way to go.

Or join a club and ask for advice. The next step would probably be finding a restored car of same month and year as yours to use as a bench mark. Hopefully the owner would be helpful to answer the less obvious questions.
