Default Putting on a top?

My AA chassis project came with remnants of an attempt to build a huckster body. I am still rebuilding mechanicals but am wondering about putting on a top once the body is completed.
Can anyone recommend any books or material that I could study to help me get a grasp of technique and materials for putting on a traditional type roof?
