Default Hood latch mounting

Does a '29 use the forward set of holes in the frame for the front hood latch or the set located shortly aft? Thanks!

Your guide could be your hood shelf. Line the holes up in the back hood latch and then you will see where the holes line up in the front.

Oops! No hood shelf. Car won't have fenders. I have a cowl I'll have to dig out and place on the frame. I do have a hood and I'll have to dig that out too. I was hoping to avoid all the digging out. Basically, I just want to know if brake lines or what ever might be affected by the hood latch screws. Thanks!
