Re: 9 cars with extreme engines
Good eye, Coops.
The No24 car was shown on the hill at Prescott. I've run the coupe and the roadster there. The last clip, Bluebird, was on the beach at Pendine. Again, I've ran the coupe and the roadster there. Mart. |

The Beast of Turin (the first Fiat) is my favorite. So incredible for the time (late teens).

Re: 9 cars with extreme engines
Yeah.....I'm just kind'a hung-up on these old Twin Cessna T-50s. Only a handful still flying today! Sky King liked 'em too. The one pictured here is the one used in the Sky King series, BEFORE actually being purchased by Kirby Grant. Here, it is being flown off of a beach where it had endured a forced landing of some sort. Dick D (DD)

Re: 9 cars with extreme engines
I guess a prop strike in the sand didn't require a tear down and inspect back in '55.

Re: 9 cars with extreme engines
Extreme engine # 10 should have been a modified 60 hp V-8 Ford in a midget race car....
