37-39 truck rear window interchangeability
Good evening All . I have a 39 picup that needs the rear glass replaced,,delaminating ,cloudy, these things happen . I have an original 37 rear window from my Dad's truck with some nostalgic stickers on it. I checked my Green Bible but found no glass references other than rear view mirror ,and interior gauge glass . They look close . I know I can get an easy cut plate made. My dad sold the truck to my sister and it was IMMEDIATELY street rodded. I got all the" Undesirable " parts. Thanks for your time . Mike P

Re: 37-39 truck rear window interchangeability
I restored a '37 Ford pickup in the mid '60's... The '37 trucks are like the '37 cars, kinda in a world of their own, other than the windshield I think there is very little in the way of body parts that will fit onto the later trucks. I do recall that the rear fenders of a '37 trk will fit the rear of a '36 pickup.

Re: 37-39 truck rear window interchangeability
It looks like 35 thru 39 trucks use the same rear window.

Re: 37-39 truck rear window interchangeability
Yes, the same rear window glass was used in 1935-1939 pickups and big trucks. Use a new seal and you should be all set.
It's sad, but unfortunately not uncommon, what happened to your dad's 1937 pickup but I'm glad you got the leftover parts. The window glass part is listed in the Ford Body Parts Catalog which is different than the Chassis Parts catalog.
