1939 convertible windshield stainless
Guys, how do I remove the stainless moldings from the windshield rubber? Does it just pull out? I don't want to damage it. Thanks,

Quote:
Remove glass with rubber gasket from both sides. From outside of car, remove small stainless piece that covers ends of each stainless molding. This is located at the center - bottom. Now remove the trim piece. You should start at the center bottom and may need to tap the edge as you go along. Often times the trim is stuck a bit or God forbid some idi-- glued it.

To expand on Kube's explanation, the stainless attaches to the body not the rubber. The glass with rubber seal are removed first, hopefully not disturbing the stainless trim.
