with and without and with shocks
When I got my 160B its had tube shocks () As they were shot I removed them.
I ran it for a while on several trips without shocks (terrible) and now I have just finished installing 4 new out of the box from an Terrapin supplier, made in the USA shocks. Before actual install was done I filed grinded chiseled my way through 3/8 thick plate that were welded to the tube shock adaptors to the frame covering the original holes. The new shocks out of the box were something to behold pieces of art, almost. Was a shame to paint them. Everything lined up and it went well. I did have to drill another cotter pin hole in the shock arm bolt, bolt was too short by a 1/4" Had to do the test run around the block late Saturday night upon completion and was very pleased with the results. Since the S/W is a heavy car and without shocks it rode like a ride at Cedar Point. Now nice and smooth and so much better. Well worth the busted and skinned knuckles. Should be better on the high speed corners.

Many thanks. |
