Wink HIDE EM on 31 slant window

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

The PO put "hide em" on the top of my 4 door slant window 160B.
my question, can I remove the hide em and install the right metal molding with out taking off the very good and correct top?

I feel that it would be feasible, Richard.
Side note: Vermin, my '29 5 Window Coupe has NO side rain gutters, instead, it has Hide-Em-Welt & looks terrific & no one ever notices it. Looks like a factory job!

Yes you can the top nails down independently of the molding..
This style molding is easy to work with and bend

The sw cars use two different moldings. Both are available as aluminum reproductions. The one that goes along the sides and rear has a rubber strip pressed in after nailing. I used a black non silicone caulk bead under mine which I wiped off after nailing.

It's been recommended by the windshield guys and body experts to not use silicone on steel body parts, because it promotes rust. There are good urethane windshield sealers available to use.
