Default 1932 Ford V8 emblem questions

Couple of questions on the iconic 32 V8 headlight bar V8 emblem. I know there have been several different reproductions over the years. What is the best way to identify an original? I have 4 I believe are original, all weigh 2.2 ounces, BUT the 2 darker ones weigh 55 grams and the 2 lighter ones weigh 60 grams. All have clean castings, third from left has 4 near makers mark, rest have 1. Last photo is one I believe maybe be a repo (sold as a original) but it weighs 2.2 ounces and 60 grams. Clear makers mark and number 4. Casting feels rough and no trace of any chrome over the bare metal. Also who made these?

This is probably the only area David skims over in his book.

PS my digital scale only weighs in 5 gram scales so these all may be within tolerances
