Not many sources for 21-stud heads any more. Try these guys, H&H Flatheads in La Crescenta, Ca., at the link below. But, be sitting-down and holding-on for the prices! DD

Even the high dollar heads have an eroding problem. I bought a used set and had to have considerable welding done then resurfacing. These heads were some of those that were supposed to build with a better grade of alum. I just picked up a 34 head that will need a spot welded so I now have a extra set of 34 heads for flat top pistons.

Jim Kerr in Sydney Australia made two versions of the 21 stud alloy head, for flat top and domed pistons. Sadly he passed away in 2020 so not sure if his son John is doing them anymore. They were a very good quality reproduction. Regards, Kevin.

Further to Kevin's Note above, I contacted John Kerr in Sydney this morning , as he is continuing his dad Jim' Kerr's business with these Early Ford 21 Stud Aluminium Heads. This was his reply:-
"Yes I do but we are sold out at the moment, I am giving the patterns a freshen up at the moment & have to use a new foundry. Hope to have some ready sometime this year, If you can contact me, I can add you to the list, I already have people waiting."
If anyone is interested, send me a private Message and I will pass on John's details so that you can contact him direct. Regards Mercman <><

Here is a picture of the Reproduction Early Ford V8 Aluminium Heads made in Australia, organised by the Kerr family.
By the way, they own a pair of very nice 1934 Fords. You can see that they are a quality item.
If interested in a Pair, I can put you into contact with John Kerr. Regards Mercman <><

Jim Kerr was a legendary drag racer in Australia prior to becoming a flathead aficionado. Cheers

I talked to Don early last year and got his last pair of Eddy Meyer heads in May, they are for flat top. I wasn’t paying attention and used dome top on my LB so I planned on getting something from H&H as there were stock looking. Still $1200 in the catalog, l wonder if they were from Australia also, I don’t see them listed now. I assume the stock reproduction would not require stud change.

Carsten,

You can also get 21 stud repro heads from Belcher Engineering in England. That's quite close to Denmark.... https://www.belcherengineeringltd.co.uk/

Very nice but those will not work on a '36 engine.32-36 have the water pumps in the head. They are for '37's.

Hi Guys, Trevor contacted me letting me know about this discussion, I don`t get a chance to look on here as often as I would like, my Dad & I have been making the 21 stud heads for over 20 years here in Australia, mainly because we have a couple of 34 Fords & he used to build a few engines & they were not available, he passed away a few months ago & while he was sick we didn`t get a chance to get more cast up so we are out of stock at the moment, I am taking this chance to freshen up the patterns after 20 years of casting & also I have to use a new foundry, I hope to have some ready for sale later in the year, there are a few people that have contacted me & are waiting for them to be ready, we make them in flat top & can machine them to suit dome tops at no extra charge, they are exactly the same as original & use standard studs as I see a few people asked about that, we have posted them all around the world over the years. I will also look into making again the water pumps we used to make as there has been interest in them, I still have stock of the distributor adaptors we make to fit crab distributors on the early engine, my email is [email protected] Thanks John
