Default Frame welting question

Was there ever a piece of welt that was attached to the frame over the area above the rear spring?? I seem to recall installing about a 15" piece on top of the frame in that area, but can't remember what model A we put it on.

Thanks!!

Can't remember if its original or not but all the vendors sell a piece to go there. They make one for the front spring as well. Even if not original, I put one there. One less squeak is always a good thing. I hot glue it in place.

If you are talking about OVER the frame then all Coupe/Roadster/Cabriolet models had a 1" wide strip riveted to the floor pan.

Yes, my original Fordor had one over the "hump", and I replaced it when restored.
