Default Drained the radiator

So I figured I would drain the radiator since the car has sat for at least 10 years. I wasnt having any issues (that i know of) but since i had to get new hoses i figured now is a good time. So right now all the hoses are off. Do i just stick the garden hose in and let it run through for awhile? Anything else i need to do?

Flush it from the bottom several times. Just hold a rag around the hose until the radiator fills.
Also give the block a good flushing. I usually remove the side hose housing so I can get a flex cable [ piece of old speedo cable] in there using a drill motor.

If you want to clean it out good, pour a bucket of hot water with a quarter cup of liquid dish soap into the radiator and run the engine at very fast idle for 15 minutes. Drain it out and see what comes out in the water. Re-fill with clean water and run 5 minutes. Drain. Refill with clean water and run for 5 more minutes. Repeat till water coming out is clear.
