aluminum radiators
does anyone have any experience with the relatively low cost aluminum radiators that are available on ebay ? curious as to quality--thanks

There are at least a couple of old threads on this subject. If memory serves me correctly, the takeaway on the subject was: Look different than original. Some fit perfectly, others not so much. Cool well. Cheap price. Do your homework on the seller's willingness to stand behind the fit. Don't think anyone had real issues except fitment in some cases...

I recently saw metal (steel or aluminium) fly screen material covering the exterior of an aluminium radiator. It looked great, It was an excellent disguise.

I bought one, but I have not yet installed it. It appears to be a fine radiator with beautiful craftsmanship. Nice looking welds.

I bought one for a 1957 chevy and it worked great. looks totally different so they are fine if it is a low budget build. otherwise, it needs disguising as others mention. price was 100. |

Do the Model A versions use a stock A cap? I have not seen this mentioned in the ads or listings, seems to get glossed over.

i looked at a couple of aluminum radiators on E-Bay and they were mostly for 28 - 29 models. its hard to tell because the dimensions are in millimeters. I need one for my 30 Roadster, so I didn't follow up. I don't know where you are in California but the ad i looked at said their warehouse is in San Bernardino, just 15 miles from my house.
