Default Bonniville in a Model A

Just a quick note to let you know we ran 83mph in Lickity split , a stock bodied 31 coupe with our flat head 4 banger on the salt yesterday, about 9-10mph under the record, but only running carbs, The blower sat in the box for maybe next time , The coupe with owners engine, OHV etc set a new land speed record ,My special thanks to all who helped make a dream come true, Pos some picture once back home , PS I think our Quickchange rear may have helped, ??/ Derek from a hot Nevada,

Congrats, on the run. have had this on my list of things to do. Question, I have a stopck body 31 tudor, and see my avatar for other add on equ. I have had my car up to 96 mph on Interstate running 2 miles but I was at a rolling 30 mph when I started. If I found someone that really knew how to fine tune my car do you think it would have a chance at the flats. thanks for your info. Have fun modelA tony lafayette,LA

Derek, I have been listening to the live stream reporting from Bonneville. And yes,,,,,,,,,,more spins and crashes this year then the past few years. I heard the courses were some what wetter than normal and some grooving on the number 1 course. I have to get back on a crew. Missed being there this year after 9 years straight. Mark.

Justin Hi, My Doc told me too go do it, Jude was not too happy but once the salt is in the veins it stimulates the heart,??/ Mark yes the salt was wet & really went off on our last run . After tune up ran 3 mile slower , Think an adjuster may have come loose as detected a slight miss at mile two, Tony Depends on your engine as too which class, Best get a rule book & read , Next year, Well need a vehicle 1st, plus some sponcership, I have a diamond block B under construction, with a MP90 blower attached, F&S ignitions, Main Freight, Harvey world travel, Really helped out , Many others including the coups owner ,Ron, Jim, Don, Kiwi MIKE, Andrew, Gary, plus others there made it possible, Now have my ticket to drive,
Could be a large group from NZ next year, So if going book your gold plated room now, & live the dream its worth it, If you can,t afford it just send your $$$$ to me,
Thankyou America,

Derek ran 86 on his first run, 83 after we tuned on it! 86 is not too bad in a full bodied Model A!

ZZlegend, We went but did not take the car. Neither Ron nor I had engines ready. Both of our records, blown gas and blown fuel, were blown away by Aardema. both are now well over 200! Its a wonder what money and a little flexing of what the classes were designed for will do! We'll still run as that is what we like, but it takes the dream of entering the 2-Club away.

So out of pure curiosity, where can you find the rule book? I would be interested in seeing the classes
