28 Tudor header brackets missing
Our 28 Tudor was disassembled by a PO who should not be allowed near old cars . It seems we are missing a bracket that should tie the curved steel side roof to the wood header . It’s one of those things when you have not got it you don’t know it’s missing, till the jigsaw seems Like it’s missing a bit. Any pictures or suggestions appreciated.

Re: 28 Tudor header brackets missing
At the end of that triangle piece in your photo should have a right angle tab with a hole for a wood screw. This is a very weak area on 28-29. 1930 was completely different up there. They had an actual corner bracket that was much stronger.

Re: 28 Tudor header brackets missing
Thanks for that @denniskliesen . The car is not 100% original so perhaps with pictures I can fabricate an improved 30 style bracket. Plus it won’t be seen .

Re: 28 Tudor header brackets missing
Anyone got any pictures? I have had a look at a couple of catalogs and came up empty.

Re: 28 Tudor header brackets missing
No pictures available but I can tell you that the strap that you are referring to is about 1-3/4" long by 3/4" wide and has two holes to secure it to the header with two flat head wood screws.

Re: 28 Tudor header brackets missing
Thanks Randy , macs/ ecklers is usually my last choice, but I see made in USA. I did surf around on a couple of other A sites And still found zero. Now I know what they look like at least , I will fold my own .
