37 or 39 transmissions
After sitting for many years I am slowly putting my 37 1/2 ton back together. I have a rebuilt 24 stud from a 39 panel and the transmission and I also have the transmission that was in the 37 which has a BB serial number. The 37 trans. has a small type of wire running along the side the gear shift lever to a lever at the top. What is this for? I can send pics for clarification for anyone who requests them. I am also getting ready to order a new cluth/pressure plate/throw out bearing. Any advice on these parts?

Re: 37 or 39 transmissions
I can't speak for others, but I've had very good luck with Fort Wayne Clutch in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They do a lot of work on all kinds and ages of automotive and industrial clutches. Check their website or they sometimes sell on e-bay. FWIW.
