Best oils for an early Ford banjo?
Getting ready to oil up the roadster chassis...what weight oil is recommended for a 40's era rear end and tranny? What about an F-1 steering box?

Any modern 80w/90w gear grease is adequate for these old gear sets.

I've been running Castrol 85-140. Just had a tear down to repair worn hub races and it looked like new inside. Just refilled it with valvoline 85-140 Last edited by av8paul; 05-07-2010 at 10:08 AM. |

I have had valvline synthetic 80/140 and am real impressed..I ran it 1000 miles and opened it back up..no visual issues..and no stanky 90 w stench
