Default '29 starters.

rebuilding my starter and got a new armature and bushing ordered. The front end plate bushing is correct, however the brush end plate bushings don't fit.

local ford guy that rebuilds starters and alternators he said its not a ford starter. Similar but these were also in the late 20's and 30's.

Can't remember the name, Presitlite or something..

using a micrometer the ID = .637 and OD = .697 for this bushing if you use the end plate and communtator for the sizes..

anyone ever ran into this issue? Thats a pretty thin bushing and could almost use a sheet of notebook paper..

Yes, I've run into that, but luckily the brush end bushing usually doesn't wear too much and I was able to keep the used bushing in place and use it.
