7-tooth Sector problem
I am installing a new 7-tooth sector shaft, but even with the thrust washer on the shaft and without the gasket, the sector thrust screw does not reach the end of the shaft until it is farther in than it leaves any threads for the jam nut! What am I missing?

Re: 7-tooth Sector problem
What's it look like on the side where it comes out for the pitman arm?

Re: 7-tooth Sector problem
It sounds like you are installing the sector correctly with the thrust washer. Original thrust washers are thicker than the repro washers, but not so thin to have the problem you are having. Is the sector NOS or a repro? If it is a repro maybe it is not made correctly. I try to use Ford NOS parts and you know they will fit right.
