Default Another headlight wire disconnect question

I just did a search to try and find my answer, no luck. I have gotten as far as loosening the headlight wire conduit from the base of the headlight bucket. Am I supposed to be able to unplug the 3 wires at the socket right there. I've tried separating one of he wires there but it does not want to let go. Stopped before breaking something. Trying to avoid headlight bucket disassembly to get behind the reflector. Any good suggestions are appreciated.

It's possible that a PO has wired it straight thru the connector. You will have to look behind the reflector to determine that. It's not that difficult.

It looks like they should pull apart (2 pieces).

The three wires should pull out together with the slotted guide "plug" from the socket. If not, you should disassemble the bucket to see what the problem is. Easy to do - unlatch the ring at the bottom and remove the ring and lens. Remove the bulbs, mark the base of the headlight bulbs so you put them back right, then the reflector will come right out after removing the parking light socket. From there you will be able to access the wires inside.
