Cool Windshield frame bracket rivets

There are 2 long aluminum rivets that secure the new bracket to either side of the windshield frame. Anyone have suggestions on setting these rivets.

The original rivets were solid and countersunk to fit into the bracket. The end of the rivet toward the inside of the frame was peened.
The replacement rivets I have used are also steel but semi-tubular so the end can be set with a tubular rivet tool. The head of the rivet is just a rounded shape, not countersunk. I had to shorten the rivets just a little bit to allow the rivet tool to form a good shape on the end.
