What Patrick L said. Forget the multimeter ammeter. The "voltage drop" method that Patrick alluded to is the way for a parasitic drain. I don't like using a test light for this type of trouble shooting as it takes full or almost full batt voltage to light it. That being said using the test light and if it lights between the disconnected battery and the cable then you know there is a full batt draw. Proceed logically. Start pulling/disconnecting from the battery and moving schematically out leaving the volt meter connected as before mentioned. Or for the illogical start pulling likely and easy to get to components.

I had a episode where the dash light was on but I did not notice it in daylight when I shut off the car. Next day; dead battery. Ron W

Changed the coil. Seems to run better. will just remove the circuit breaker when off for any length of time. Thanks guys, as always.
