"36 Emergency Brake Lever Question
I removed the toothed segment and pawl from the lower end of my '36 e-brake lever. I thought the button on top of the actuating rod would unscrew, but with moderate force, I was unable to move it. I'm hesitant to use greater force as I tend to break things when I do that ().
Is the button screwed to the rod or how do you remove the rod & cap? Thanks, -Bob |

Re: "36 Emergency Brake Lever Question
There is a set pin that goes thru the collar of the button into the rod.

Ahhhh! Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it. I never thought of that and couldn't see it due to the years of grimr & what-not on the lever! |
