Default Overheating

I just put a new engine in my 1928 Model A and while I'm driving it is fine, but the radiator cap vibrates around and comes loose. When I get back home to put it in the garage it starts to bubble out of the radiator cap. Is there anyway I can tighten the cap down (thicker gasket maybe), I bought the cap brand new from Snyders and had the radiator redone. It also has a new water pump on it. I had straight water in it for awhile but then dumped it and put in 50/50 antifreeze.
Thanks in advance.

Is this a plain cap. or one with an ornament. Sometimes the added weight of an ornament helps the cap to vibrate loose. It did on mine, but my plain cap screws on and stays tight.

Is this a threaded cap, or locking tabs? If tabs, then maybe a thicker gasket or bending the tabs up will help.

Thanks that's what I thought. It is an Quail cap with the tabs. I will try a thicker gasket or doubling up. I appreciate your help.

I have found that the gasket under the quail is sometimes not thick enough to stop the bird from loosening. Cut a thin gasket to fit under the rubber one or use 1 or 2 of the brass washers from a gas guage as they are the right size.
