'28-'29 Roadster Windshield?

Good Morning All.

I need some information on '28-'29 Roadster Windshields & Stanchions, had most of this info on another computer but lost it due to technical problems, tried doing a search but didn't have much luck.

First off I need to know the distance between the stanchions at the cups where the windshield pivots.

I also need the width of the windshield frame at both the top & bottom.

I'm working with a modified reproduction steel RPU cab, it's stretched several inches and has a curved back panel, unfortunately the cowl where the stanchions mount isn't anything like an original.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Ted

While I will be happy to measure one for you in a few moments, would it not be more prudent for you to obtain whichever windshield frame you are going to use and then mount the stanchions to it to get your dimensions? From what I recall, there are a couple different repro windsield manufacturers out there, and while this is hearsay, I understand the widths do vary. If this is indeed correct, won't this affect what you are trying to accomplish?

I have an untouched AR phaeton.

If this is the same screen/stanchions, I can measure.

Here's a diagram I took from the Speedway Motors webpage, giving the dimensions of their reproduction 1928-29 open car windshield frames. I checked a couple of originals and got the same dimensions.
