Initially, all axles had a large script on the front right and left rear side of the web. early in 1928, a smaller script was used. From mid 1929 on there was no script. Other than the script, the axles were the same although there were changes in the attaching parts. Gar Williams

Slight differences from the JS point of view.
There will be some with AA and others with EE. That is just the type of steel, not for a AA truck. http://home.comcast.net/~68c/Front_axle_straightening.htm Make sure the king pin fits tight in the end. Look for signs of heating to remove the perch. Look for signs the perch was loose and that area is wore in too much. |
