Pete, try California, over $4.00 and it changes the same way. When I leave in a
half hour to go home I'll check, but I bet it will be higher.

Default Once it hits 4.00 here it won't matter!

When it hits $4.00 here i will cut driving down so far I will shurely forget how too drive. Drive only to dr and grocery store .Might even ride my bicycle to the grocery store. This is the only way they pay attention to us. The last big spike a few years ago . When everyone cut way back on driving the price's went down to normal real fast

here in my home town "Sunland Ca" the price is $4.17 for the cheap stuff. I myself have cut my driving way down and I don't eat out anymore. I am trying to save as much as I can for when the poop hits the fan

two weeks ago in Death Valley regular Standard Oil gasoline was 4.54/gallon, and here in Santa Cruz it was 3.95. Today its 4.19 for the cheap stuff here and 4.39 for Standard Oil. I wonder if it hit 5 bucks in Death Valley yet? I'm thinking of canceling my summer driving trip to the NWRG in Portland.

Everybody put your tin foil hats on and get into your bunkers.

Gas prices are going to continue to climb.

I for one, refuse to stress out too much about it. It is what it is. Who cares? Drive 'em.

What is the bother is the pump price delta increase WRT time as opposed to the ever so gradual decline when they are suppose to track the commodity price. Plus the oil company's continual crying they aren't making a profit.

Peter, here last week I filled the coal burner with diesel for 3.75 on Friday for the 150 mile trip to the Charlotte autofair. Sunday I re-filled the tank at 3.95 per gallon. Where I have the problem is, the stations do not sell till the low price fuel is gone and raise the prices when their tanks are filled but they sell the cheap fuel at premium price. I know it is only a small amount but, it is all the same, price gouging! It takes 100$ to fill the tank from more than 1/4 tank, 25 gallons.

Miles driven in US down 3% (?) in April. Market will step in as retailers first, and BIG OIL second; fear this trend. Like dope dealers scramble when customers go clean.

You're complaining about a 1% increase?

You should stop this nonsense, you're making us look bad in front of our foreign visitors. What do you think someone from New Zealand or Germany thinks about us when they read this? They've been paying high gas prices for a long time.

Wasn't gas supposed to get 15% cheaper when they started putting corn in it?

If you are only buying 85% of the gas you used to buy, shouldn't that be lowering the price???

Right on Jeff!

Trains are by far the most economical, enjoyable and sensible way to travel and ship goods. The freeways would sure open up if we could get the goods all shipped by rail. I never knew about the German Sunday ban on big trucks, but I like it.

Because from 1 year ago we have had a .93 cent increase. This is 25% increase in a year. How much will it be in 5 more years and even their fuel prices will increase.

You also have to keep in mind when you are used to a certain price you plan a budget around this.

If we were used to $7-8 a gallon and also had use of public transportation for our commute it would be a different story.

The problem is a drastic unexpected increase.

I also agree with Jeff, although I question the name "nut-nick"
"On gas prices, like I said I wouldn't mind paying that kind of money if the money was staying in the U.S. and Canada and not funding the nut-nicks over seas."
