I have one totally disassembled right now in the process of metal repair and then full restoration. Anything particular you are looking for pictures of? If it is a complete car you are looking for, Tom Wesenberg has photos of unrestored Phaetons.

Hey Brent, I'd really appreciate any pics you have of the subrail assembly on a phaeton please. I'm getting an Australian phaeton body that originally had wooden rails that I'll be restoring and could do with some decent images for guidance.

I will send you everything I have but I have never done a wooden subframed 1929 Phaeton so i am not sure I can really help you. If you are building a street rod, I would definitely make them out of sheetmetal in lieu of wood. Tack-weld the entire body together (doors & all) and then build the subrail infrastructure to fit the shell. Then cut your tack-welds.

But they are not the same, --subtile differences.

How subtle, Brent? And whereabouts?

All input gratefully received. I'm at the bottom of the learning curve with this.
