Mini Barner Bash
Chuck Lessard called me up last Thursday morning, asking if the the Colonial Williamsburg Rod Run was this weekend. I said sure but where was he? Williamsburg? He said I'm home "but I could be there". With that he and his lovely wife Karen braved the rainy weather, construction, and traffic and came down for the show. We had a blast and the weather since noon Friday has been gorgeous here. We cruised, ate, cruised, went on a poker run, he won Long Distance at the show - we had a great time! It was a real bonzai run as he was heading back home on Sunday. His 29 Model A looked and performed great and having them parked together at the show and being painted nearly the same color really intrigued folks.
Thanks for coming, Chuck and Karen - Val, Dad and I really enjoyed having you! Chuck - if you have any pics perhaps you can post them. I didn't take a one! |

Re: Mini Barner Bash
Hey, that's great that Chuck and Karen made the run down for the Williamsburg Rod Run. They are both troopers when it comes to attending these gatherings/Bashes/tours. I had a great time there during the 2010 Show. That's also where I met Henry Horrocks and we became good friends.
Let's have some pictures Chuck!! Tom, are you and possibly Chuck maybe thinking about another run to Bonneville for Speedweek in 2015? I am thinking about it...would like to drive my '35 5w coupe if I can get it back together and feel it's running well enough by then.

Tom, glad you Chuck and Karen had a good time. Wish I had time to make it up to some of the events on the east coast... Maybe this Fall. vic

Re: Mini Barner Bash
That would be cool Tom. I would really like to meet up with the Rolling Bones like you and Chuck did last year. I had talked to them about that when I was there on the Salt in 2012. They filled me in on their rules for traveling with them and it all sounded good to me. I would prefer to put some miles on the coupe and ease up some on the fordor sedan. We can keep in touch on this by pm or email.

The Williamsburg Rod Run was the first outing since the installation. It was great seeing Tom and Val again. The run down was through PA to avoid NYC and DC. 755 miles to Willimsburg from NH. Big mistake. Heavy rain though PA and into MD. I found ALL the leaks. The Tudor did not skip a beat though the wet. We hit VA to clear sky's and a good weekend. Here are a few pics of the event. Thanks to the Tidewater Street Rodders for holding it. Enjoy
