The majority have been using points. We use the highest quality set of ignition contacts made. The echlin/napa. Cs786 double spring, one steel one brass and quality construction.
I learned not to cut back on quality after a zillion calls with problems caused by inferior parts...
I had one customer call in the early years and state his wife didn't like the distributor, said it was too noisy. Ihad him send it back, the noise was from a bad condenser and arcing contact points. Got to love super hearing!

What condenser do you use? I have your dist and would like to keep an extra set of points and condenser in the car.

Thanks

"Got to love super hearing!" Not to mention one quiet flathead.
