Advertisements should go in the Swap Meet section.

Re: $$$$ worth $$$$
I wonder if he is asking how much it is worth because he is considering buying it? I am sure if it was for sale he would have put it in the for sale section.

Re: $$$$ worth $$$$
Black bumpers, incorrect body colors, lack of pinstripe, maybe missing radiator emblem, roadster top supports, and replacement ignition cable call into question what else was done incorrectly in the "total restoration six years ago." Lacking photos of the undercarriage, interior, dash panel, and right side of the engine compartment, as well as any knowledge of whether the engine was rebuilt and by whom, I would put the value at about $9000 in Portland.

Re: $$$$ worth $$$$
Nice driver in Michigan would be in the 10K range. Jazzy color, but not factory available back in the day.

Re: $$$$ worth $$$$
It's about a ten grand car, a driver that will stay as it is, to buy it with the idea of correcting all the flaws would be a bad investment. Bob

I don't see the indented fire wall for the gas shut off. I thought all 31's had that.

Re: $$$$ worth $$$$
The early 31 cars didn't have the indented firewall. I think that the indented firewall started around may 31. It may have been a little earlier but that gives an idea of about when the indented firewall started. I don't think that the question is whether its a perfect show car, but what price that it may bring. It looks good for a driver. The hot rod guys would probably pay the most as the body would be desireable. I figure that the seller will ask at least twelve thousand or more. Coupes are still fairly plentiful and eight to ten thousand is probably about what it would bring, It would cost more to duplicate it but model A people are mostly tight.

Re: $$$$ worth $$$$
I recently purchased one in the Detroit area for $8000 and it was an older correct restoration with new Goodyears and paint. So in my opinion he should be happy with $8000 !

Re: $$$$ worth $$$$
looks like they tried painting it bronson yellow and seal brown. Not right for a coupe, but they are model a colors. Ill agree with 10,000-11,000 if it runs and drives well. Its a presentable car, just not 100% correct. looks like a good car for someone who just wants to get in one and have fun with it.

Re: $$$$ worth $$$$
Now that you mention that, if you can picture the wheels painted orange, it would look a lot better, not "correct" for the correct people but a lot better. Bob

Re: $$$$ worth $$$$
I went to an auction in Southwest Michigan recently and the car attached in the photo went for $25,000!! Way over what I thought it would go for. Guess a car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. This owner was in our local club and had passed away in 1999. Car was driven maybe 5 times since then.

Re: $$$$ worth $$$$
On the subject, are late 31' with the indented firewall on average considered worth more?

Re: $$$$ worth $$$$
As for the yellow car, $13k-$15k would be a deal.
