"A" Weekend at the Museum
Just thought I might put out a "save the date" announcement for those who have not been informed. I am referring to the Model A Weekend at the Gilmore Museum on September 20 and 21st, 2014.
Lots of things to do as there will be a big Parts Swap and Seminars and Special Activities so please keep the date open....If you have not been to the Gilmore it is a super car place and if you have not been to the Model A Museum you must make it THIS YEAR!!! All proceeds go to the Model A Museum that weekend.....Thanks |

Re: "A" Weekend at the Museum
I really want to thank Ken for stepping up and chairing the swap meet. The trustees are spread all over the country and it is great someone who is fairly close to the museum stepped up to ram rod this "new" feature for Model As at the museum. Like Ken said if you haven't been plan to come this year and see the museum and enjoy the parts swap.
I included a picture of "your" museum, it really is worth your time and effort to visit and support so our hobby can be around for years to come! |

Re: "A" Weekend at the Museum
We went on several of the hotel websites and got great prices. All the hotels are about 20 minutes away, the museum is in a nice country area.
Here is the list: http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/plan...modations.html If you have not gone, it is a wonderful museum. There are several car museums on the same complex. If you are in the area, the Ford museum is not to far away. We did both. I don't think my pulse normalized for about a week. We had a wonderful time there. |

Re: "A" Weekend at the Museum
Why was the Weekend at the Museum scheduled on the same weekend as the MARC National Tour 21-24 September 2014 in Cary, North Carolina?

Re: "A" Weekend at the Museum
The date for the museum is fixed by our agreement with The Gilmore complex and can't be adjusted. We are hoping that as the word gets out in the future there will not be conflicts and people can work new events to allow everyone the ability to attend all the Model A events they would like.

Re: "A" Weekend at the Museum
For clubs considering a tour to the Museum, is there any tentative agenda developed yet? How many days is this event going to involve? Is there a headquarters hotel ? I can't seem to find information on anything other than Mark's post #5 about the swap meet. Ken mentioned seminars and special events. I am sure it is out there, I am just not smart enough to find it. It is not too early to formulate plans for a club tour, but more information is needed. Thanks for the help.
