1929 Phaeton Back rest seat hoock clips
Does anybody knows where I could buy or find a drawing about the rear back seat spring clips?. These hold seat in place by hooking seat spring over one side and mounting to seat back wood. Those are for a rear back seat in a 1929 Phaeton 35A.

Re: 1929 Phaeton Back rest seat hoock clips
I am working on a 29 phaeton that was missing many of the seat back clips, including the ones you have circled. I have never seen any model A catalog that had the clip in it. I suspect there is not a very big demand for phaeton parts. I ended up making some of the clips from some clips I borrowed from a friend that had a 28 phaeton. I may have one you could borrow to make some from. They are not hard to make and are not seen after the rear seat is installed. Do you have the 4 or 5 clips for the front seat and the rest of them for the back seat?
Send me a PM if you want to talk about the clips. Rusty Nelson Lakeville, MN |

Re: 1929 Phaeton Back rest seat hoock clips
First, thanks to everyone who pre-posted answers to some of my earlier questions.
Now, I’m in the same boat (or 29 phaeton) as these folks. When I bought my phaeton, it didn’t even have seat springs; but, I ordered some made by Snyder’s. I, too, need clips for both the front and back seat springs. I know that the posts to which I am replying are old, but perhaps someone has newer info. Caboose |

I replied to the original post a loooong time ago. I was missing about half the seat clips - I had the seat clips for the front seat (4), but none for the rear seat (5). I don't believe there are any reproduced for 28/29 phaetons, due to very low demand. I ended up making some and finding some to complete what I needed. If you want to see some pictures of the clips, send me your email address as it is harder to put pictures in posts or PM's. I might have one or two extras, I would have to check.
