Hello,

Trying to figure out exactly what this is!! Does anyone out there recognize this handle? I think it may be a Cowl Vent Handle. Appreciate any feedback!

Thank you,

Looks like it could be a gear shift lever/knob...

If is a cowl vent handle, which I doubt, it certainly is for a brand X and not for a Ford product.

It looks to be a gearshitt extension. Popular accessory for Model A Fords.

This unidentified item MAY be a piece of one of the MANY available hand brake extension devices available in the 1930s.

How do you even know that it's a car part? It could be for anything.

Glenn - As many have said, it does appear to be an aftermarket gear shift extension, but it has been adapted to what appears to be an original Ford cowl vent handle. Note the threaded end with shoulder and small indexing key that keeps the handle from turning when tightening the nut.

So yes, it appears to be a modified cowl vent handle with an added gear shift extension.
