1957 Thunderbird Design Drawing
Hi,
I'm a Model A/ Flathead guy but I stumbled onto this drawing on my local Craigslist. I thought someone over here might be interested. https://annarbor.craigslist.org/atq/...639483450.html |

Re: 1957 Thunderbird Design Drawing
That is interesting. I was a design draftsman for several years, from '69-'80. I think the correct spelling for the medium is Mylar. We used that almost entirely.

Re: 1957 Thunderbird Design Drawing
If I had the wall space that this needs, I would buy it. What a conversation starter in a mancave.
It in not a 1957,,but a 55 or 56. |

Re: 1957 Thunderbird Design Drawing
In photo 3 the drawing is labeled "1957 Ford Thunderbird Package".
There is also reversed writing... " 1957 "T" BIRD " In the drawing the nose and rear fenders are noticeably different than how a '57 Bird turned out. Especially the longer droopy nose. Given the '55 & '56 dates on the signatures the drawing is likely a design styling study or similar. . Last edited by dmsfrr; 07-29-2023 at 10:19 PM. Reason: add images |

I saw the "1957 Thunderbird" in the drawing block, and noticed the rear fenders were not 1957. I would still love to own it,regardless. If I had the wall space, it would be the centerpiece of my mancave, and I would frame it like a masterpiece. |
