'38 Pickup Hood Hinges
Well, it seems as if during all the disassemble, painting and trailering the parts around that the HOOD HINGES might be lost.
IIRC, they were pretty simple--a couple of pieces of angle connected with some straing straps. I have little hope that anyone would have an extra set lying around, but If someone could send some pictures with dimensions, i think I could fabricate a pair that would work. Thanks, |

Check eBay for 1938 or 1939 Ford pickup hinges. The car hinges are not the same. When you see the prices you will want to look again for the old ones.

Re: '38 Pickup Hood Hinges
I picked up a full set at a swapmeet the guy said they were for a 40 ford deluxe. They look exactly the same as the set on my 39 truck. I will dig them out and get some pictures if you can use them

'38 and '39 truck hinges are different but interchangeable. '39 has a better design for attaching the side panels at the cowl to keep them from rattling. I think I still have a pair of '38 hinges that you can have for the cost of shipping.
