Congratulation Ron

Does it have a Briggs body tag.
If so what is the number.
Thanks

Great you struck a deal. They all need something, even the ones usually that you give a ton for. Mine needs blowing apart and restoring which I’ll do but it will be a much easier task and quicker than my other. Although it’s certainly doable as well.

You will have fun with it. A cool body style. I want to know what the seat measurement is from top of seat bottom to bottom of steering wheel.
Drop it on here when you get a chance.
Thx
Larry

Great decision!
Glad the car is in the hands of someone who can truly appreciate it.

I really don't recommend taking out the package tray. It has important structural value.

There may be a bellows behind the seat back top edge that you could remove and get a bit more room.
Cabriolet Owners Club will be invaluable.
Enjoy
John

should have bound my feet like the chinese, when I was a wee lad, but I had no idea I would be enjoying the likes of Ford model A's as I got older.

Ron, your feet comment made me laugh and chuckle… thanks for the measurement. I think the one in this new one I acquired is more like 8 or more and seems low sitting which is why I asked. just left a friend’s place in Kansas City that has one too. His body is at Bill underwood’s now getting proper treatment. I don’t have any reference of his. Maybe joop has a measurement if he still has one.

Hope to get cracking on mine soon but have to finish some other projects for guys first.
All the best to you guys!

found it on CL 30 minutes away. The lack of shipping is what clinched it.

dont think there are too many as close and this one begged to come home!

After getting it home, realized the wood is way better then I could have expected.

installed a pencil filter today and this car is ready to be driven. The rust will be dealt with this summer. It isnt too bad. When I picked it up, fella had it running. the carb was the culprit originally. When I first looked at it, only heard it run for 30 seconds and then wouldnt start back up. was running on a lawn mower tank hanging on the cowl.

I made an offer, didnt hear back for a month and lost interest. then I got an email.....
after 3 days of thinking on it, I decided to sell off a couple of lessor projects to buy this. I am upgrading my projects as I go.
hoping to run this and my roadster this summer. Its about time.

We finished restoring our 68-C last year, and wound up having to re-do everything. When we started I was hopeful that we might be able to avoid having to replace all of the wood, but almost ninety years had taken its toll at the rear of the floor sills. We purchased this car from the son of a fellow (who died in 1995 and) who purchased it used in 1936, so it was pretty much complete. To hopefully give you some comfort with the price, I'm thinking that our initial acquisition costs was roughly $12K.

If I can help in any way (from here) with photos, etc., please let me now. I've never been able to send photos on this site, but if you might provide me with an e-mail address, I'll be glad to provide you with photos throughout. We did take a few liberties though in re-doing this car - stained and clear coated new wood, sound deadener on all interior panels and extra heavy felt under the carpet on the floors, heated seats, turn signals, and a trunk hitch for our matching Mullins trailer. I will say that this is the quietest of any of our Model A's. Please feel free to reach out if there might be questions that I can help you with. Good luck to you going forward.
