47 ford sedan back glass

Can someone tell me if a 47 ford back glass is installed from the inside or outside? My old feeble mind is having a hard time figuring out the rubber seal. any help is appreciated...........thanks Ed

I would say --both sides--assemble the gasket on the window--with the trim strip if it has it, lube up the flange and groove in the gasket, string--or I have used 16gauge primary wire in the groove ---put window in place from outside (helper to hold), go inside and start pulling rubber over flange with string --helper helps push some --sometimes I help with plastic stick as pulling string ----perhaps a real glass guy will refine it for you, I was never trained to do it ---you can't just yank the string/wire or you can rip the rubber, I sort of wiggle and work the string---once the bottom is in and while working up the sides push the glass/rubber down some from the outside then finish around the top

I like smaller diameter string ---but I am not an expert, but the smaller dia worked better for me
