Changing my 6 V headlight bulbs to 12 V what would be the number of the 12 V.Think this would be cheaper and faster than going to a seal beam. Any suggestions your advice, thanks

I have a chart with all the bulbs for both 6V and 12V, plus other electrical information. Send me an email at [email protected] and will send the information. Does not have the latest info about the LED lights as yet.

Before you change to 12V, try 6V LED headlights. If you’re changing to 12V to get brighter headlights, this might save you $’s and time.

If you want to light up the back yard go with LED's. If you want great headlights, install Brattons headlight reflectors and 50/32 incandescent bulbs so that they can be properly focused.

Agree with #7, whether you go with LEDs or not !

Great headlights come from good properly shaped reflectors and correct bulbs in the focal point of the reflectors. This is proven out by a guy a while ago.

In fact some of the brighter head lamps were not as bright in the areas where you need light, but the tops of the trees were well lit. Which brings me to another point that seems to get missed. The LED lamps and these other 'improvements' likely put too much light into the oncoming drivers eyes. This is not good.

I suggest those who believe LED bulbs are good I suggest you first take a look at the type of reflector that is used to focus the light from the bulb. It is complex.

So if you want to have well lit driving so you can see and the oncoming traffic does not get blinded you are best sticking with the original set up. It works, it works well.

*** this also assumes you have a proper ground path and good connections to the power sourse ****
