Oh, one more thing. I am thankful I came across this site. I have an old Woody that I want to learn more about (like how to drive it..ha! ), and this seems like a fun place to share information. Thank You

shew01 !! Really? I became a member less than 24 hours ago!

You want the story?? Here ya go (it is quite boring).

My name is Julie. I am not a "scammer", I was just trying to be nice and let CPDSarge know where the vehicle is. I am not able to respond to his private message since I am a new user (required 10 posts before authorized to private message). Every once in a while I google search my name and my husbands name, and that is how I came across this thread (told you this would be boring :-) ). So I became a member yesterday, to be able to notify the person looking for this vehicle.

My husband and I purchased it on ebay years ago (someone posted that auction info above. He always wanted a Paddywagon and we love old cars. We do not restore or work on them, we just love and respect antiques and history. We are workaholics, so the Paddywagon has been in storage and only seen the light of day 2x since we brought it home. We took it to the shop to have the top repaired (small part of the material above the windshield started to peel off off during transport), and then we took it out for a fundraiser. I do have some pictures and I would love to share, but I think since I am a new member I do not have permission to load them up. I put my number up so CPDSarge could contact me if he wanted more information on it. I will try to put some pictures up, please be patient with me.
If I cannot get the pictures to post, would a senior member be able to post them for me if i give you my email?

Again, not a scammer, just a hardworking girl who loves her antiques and wanted to share information.

My apologies. Lot’s of scammers try to be friendly on this site.

Welcome to the Ford Barn.

Welcome Julie,

I do not know Shew01, and have no dog in this fight, but lately there seems to be an influx of scammers on car forums. In particular when an old thread is resurrected. I am sure he meant no disrespect, just being overly cautious.

I think you will find this site helpful.

Wasn't there a paddy wagon of some sort at the Lee Hartung auction in Chicago a few years ago?

Mr Mellor, per website http://s3.amazonaws.com/scardigest/w...Collection.pdf ,
the Paddy Wagon is listed as '7528 1931 - Ford Model AA Bus "Chicago Paddy Wagon" $5,175.00 Sold'.... That price seems awfully low, even for ten years ago.

Welcome to the barn Julie

Chuck that was bought by a friend is being restored at this time I believe it will be shown at the Gilmor museum in MI.
Also it wasn’t a patty wagon at birth but a cool old school bus. Mr Hartung dressed up the bus for his awesome museum/collection.

Looks like the bumper that came out in late 1930.

Here are two original Ford photos of the two different Police Patrols:

The 1931 Ford Standard Police Patrol 290-A

...and the 1931 Ford De Luxe Police Patrol 285-A

It's a normal AA bumper that was chrome plated. The deluxe bumper (seen in the picture Brad posted) was a two bar set up similar to the passenger car bumper.
