I think my main hobby is collecting hobbies......

Other than restoring a's and t's. And restoring other vibtage cars. I also hotrod, race and 4 wheel. I also collect vintage military weapons, ww2 items and am a drummer. I am also into shooting sports, camping, hiking, exploring, blacksmithing and making moonshine, and restoring any form of vintage junk I find...

I raise ANGUS cattle, but now it's really just a hobby. A few for family beef.

And I write short stories, memoirs (a few published) and am looking for an agent for a YA novel about a boating adventure down the Intracoastal Waterway. Working on a mystery.

I seem to collect hobbies also, always been a gear head and in 2008 built my dream garage 40 X 60 with scissor truss in half of it with 15'+ at the peak, 2 - 4 post lifts, welders, lathe etc. Pull points in the floor so I can straighten just about anything bent vehicle wise. Restore classic 65-68 Mustang fastbacks. Collect Dietz lanterns and Rayo oil lamps as well as antique wood wall phones. Photography, building houses, garages and barns. '84 RX7 hot rod with a '95 Corvette suspension and a built 302 with a 5 speed. And then there are my 4 model As, '29 coupe, '29 pickup, 31 AA LWB and my current project '31 SWB AA. And most important of all is teaching my two grand kids all about the above things and having them develop in productive citizens of this wonderful country.

I have an "H" in similar condition. It's the next, minor project to work on. I lost the points push rod. Did a sympathetic rebuild of the engine, but it's staying as is, otherwise

Wink Re: Other Hobby Interests

Like some other guys have said: My other hobby is collecting other hobbies! Some auto related hobbies: collecting metal trunks that fit Model-A trunk racks, running board tool boxes, running board gas/oil/water cans, and most
especially '20s-'30s spotlights and auxiliary (fog,driving,road) lights/lamps.
Other hobbies are: HO model railroading, guns (including a legal Thompson), Harley-Davidson's ('65 Pan custom & '94 Softail). Old hobbies
no longer involved with: WWII Nazi gear, Lucky Strike cigarette paraphernalia (when I smoked them), reloading ammo and chasing women while I was a bad (I thought at least) biker.

Bob-A

PS: One hobby I would like to get into when I win the Power-Ball Lotto.
Collecting late 20's, early 30's Packards, Lincolns, Cadillacs, etc.

Anything re. old automobiles. Creek Indian trails in Georgia-Alabama-Mississippi which later became the Federal Road to New Orleans, and my most time-consuming project (since 2004) researching Ford assembly and manufacturing plants. I study the physical facilities location and all details down to the "enth" degree when possible...

Wow! A great diversity of hobbies you all have.

Besides my hobbies of Model A's, trains, shooting and fishing, I am going to start building a Bangor out of my 1931 Coupe. So far I have collected:
32 Ford radiator shell;
18-inch V8 Ford wheels;
Burns single down-draft intake manifold;
Mallory dual-point centrifugal-advance distributor;
Model "B" motor;
Dave Wilton plastic fan;
Nu Rex 12V, 60 A alternator;
Several Model 94 carbs;
6:1 hi-compression cylinder head;
Flathead Ted's brake kit.

I always meant to take up wood carving (have a beautiful set of knives). My great grandfather did amazing western-themed pieces (horse, buffalo, wagons,
stage coach, etc). I think truly a lost art. For me, beekeeping will have to do!
