I have 1936 Ford 4 door convertible & 1939 ford 4 door deluxe convertible
Wondering how rare these two cars are haven't seen many

I suppose "rare" is a relative term. On any given day, there are a number of them available (for sale). The '39 is a tad scarcer than the '36.

I know of two '36 Ford 4dr conv sdns that went to the crusher. One very nice Washington blue one in 1955. It was in a wrecking yard in North Vegas, the engine had been removed, everything else was there. Nobody wanted the car and there was very little scrap value. To much wood in the body. The owner of the yard offered the car to me for FREE if I would take it home, I declined..
In 1962 I ran upon another '36 conv sdn sitting in a wrecking yard in Oxnard, CA. A complete green car, that was in very decent shape. Nobody wanted the car so the owner of the yard was going to scrap it out, I declined. I offered $10.00 for the heart wiper motor, the yard owner accepted my offer, I removed the wiper motor and left.
Next time I was in the wrecking yard I noted the '36 was gone, I inquired about it. I was told they lite the car on fire to burn out the wood, then junked the remaining metal.. What a shame.
Hard to believe, but true, that in the mid to late '50's, early '60's, 1930 model Fords had very little value.
In 1952 I paid $125. for my '36 Delux 5 win cpe. It had 51k on the odometer and was a one owner car.
