Is all replacement glass the same spec or are there differences. That's a dumb question but I don't know.

If you mean the thickness of the glass, then the answer is yes, it can vary.

Modern safety glass is thinner than the original plate glass. However, modern safety glass has a consistent thickness because it is made to a common SAE specification.
