Re: Shocks for a Model A 1930 pickup
Have these on my Speedster, not much give when you push down on frame. Leaves for a hard ride!

Re: Shocks for a Model A 1930 pickup
I think part of the problem with tube shocks is that it's difficult, as an end-user, to select shocks that are appropriate for the inertia of your particular speedster/coupe/fordor/truck. The shock manufacturers don't publish the info that would help you figure it out. So if your vendor packages shocks that are wrong for your body type, it's hard to replace them on your own, even though replacement shocks are cheap and readily available.

Re: Shocks for a Model A 1930 pickup
When I bought my tube shocks, I was asked what vehicle they were going on. Ken then sent the correct shocks for that vehicle. They have worked great.

Re: Shocks for a Model A 1930 pickup
I recently bought a pair for my pickup from Berts. They are spendy, but I was pleased to find out they are permanently sealed. Never add oil. It already had Stipes on the front. Guess we will see which holds up the best.
