What is the best brand and type of head gasket for 59A engine. Thanks

My favorite is BestGasket GraphTite head gaskets . . . don't buy the 'clone' from Speedway - unless you know it is actually a BestGasket product.

Use metal gaskets with copper coat sprayed on them. If you have to remove a head, it will come off and its possible you could use the gasket again. The fiber gaskets stick to the block and head and sort of glue the head on which can make it difficult to remove.

I've used the 3036 coper gasket abd it's 8ba equivalent, for the past 60 years and the work quite well, especially when you have to take the heads of very often. Probably better ones now, but non I could recommend.
