Mercury Bearing Number Part ID
I found a couple of small bearings in Mercury packaging. So far by going through the books I have I can not ID them. Part number on the packages is AJ-33770-A. Does anyone have a book that has this part number listed somewhere? I am curious as to what year these fit and where on the car they are used. Thanks Rod

Don't know where it goes but all info says '56-'57 Mercury.

Re: Mercury Bearing Number Part ID
Thanks, will ask on the late V8 forum. Packaging looked earlier than 56-57. Rod

Re: Mercury Bearing Number Part ID
If it is in fact Lincoln Mercury, The numbers that high in the FoMoCo system are body related. 32000 to 33000 would usually in the rear quarters or the trunk some where.

Best I could find on that number is as stated previously, that it is used on 56-57 Mercs. The fact that it is in seemingly earlier packaging is insignificant; I remember seeing the old red/flesh color packing with Edsel still on it in the early 70s - and the parts came from the depot. Maybe that's where the term "NOS" originated? Last edited by raceron1120; 02-10-2013 at 07:56 PM. |
